Butterfly Biosphere, Grosvenor Park
In partnership with Grosvenor Britain, Bompas & Parr launched a unique butterfly biosphere in Grosvenor Square in Mayfair- the world’s first Lepidopterarium, combining butterfly ecology, nectar tasting and a vibrant set design for the butterflies to inhabit.
The experience highlighted the fact that London’s butterfly population has declined by 76% over the last four decades, Guests were greeted by a “wildlife guardian”, able to donate to butterfly conservation initiatives, watched them hatch and develop a new found appreciation of their essential role in nature.

At night time in the Butterfly Biosphere the temperature would drop and the butterflies would retreat and hang elegantly from plants and surfaces as though asleep.
